About Ruth has spent the last thirty years perfecting her photography skills using both color and black and white, and both darkroom and digital processing. As an outdoor enthusiast, she concentrates primarily on landscape, nature and architectural photography. She also takes the occasional informal portrait and pet portrait. In Ohio, Ruth was a member of several art leagues and a camera club and served as president of one of the art leagues. She has won several awards in art shows from honorable mention through first place. Ruth moved to northern California at the beginning of 2011. The author P. F. Kluge and publisher XOXOX Press selected one of her photographs as the cover of the book Final Exam and her portraits of Kluge were used on the jacket of his next three books.
