Northern California, mostly Sonoma County - March, 2010
We spent the month of March in a wonderful house I found on the Home Away
website. The Sage Hen is in Cotati, which is a charming small town between the towns
of Sebastopol and Petaluma in Sonoma County.
See

on the former house
of jazz legend Lu Watters.

Two goats and a goose. I saw very few geese (unlike in Ohio), but lots of prancing turkeys.

It was sweet to find tiny orchids next to redwood trees
on a hike in Bothe Napa state park, north of St. Helena.

And the poppies at Crane Creek Reserve, which just say California to me.
